I am passionate about yoga, mindful movement and wellness. I have immersed myself in yoga and holistic well-being practices for many years, finding it to be a transformative journey towards mindfulness and stress reduction. I spent many years stuck in a cycle of stress working in a demanding job, going back to school, raising a family and dealing with family illness. I always practiced yoga throughout my adult life, but did not become a consistent practitioner until I was in my 40's, so it is never too late to find your passion and bloom!
I now weave yoga philosophy and mindfulness into the fabric of my daily life, not always an easy task but well worth the personal commitment to feel more grounded, peaceful and joyful about life.
My experience includes teaching yoga and wellness classes at various local community centers, an assisted living facility, a medical clinic and individual private sessions. In my position as a social worker at a primary medical care center, I initiated chair yoga, mindfulness and stress relief classes for a grant-funded health and wellness program. I especially enjoy working with individuals in mid-life and beyond.
In my spare time, I enjoy being out in nature, spending time with family, friends and my cat Gracie!
